July 24th, or Pioneer Day, is celebrated in Utah as a way to honor the Mormon Pioneers who crossed the plains and endured unthinkable hardships finally to arrive and settle in the Salt Lake Valley. Celebrations across the state include parades, fireworks, rodeos and much more. I am looking forward to a fun-filled day with our family and wanted to share with my readers some cute pioneer themed activities I've come across while planning our celebration. These ideas would be great additions to any Pioneer Day celebration or even when teaching your children about pioneers.
